The prevalence of social networks is in high use at the business places. It has made complex things easier such as transference of stock reports through whatsapp. The learning through different weeks has helped me immensely, which is why I have been able to write a reflective journal on the provided topic. The two assignments are on the use of social networks at the business place. The use of social media has widened at the business places, which has some advantages and disadvantages as well (Leonardi, Huysman and Steinfield 2013). The first assignment is a literature review on the topic whereas the second assignment is a research proposal on the given topic. The main purpose of this assignment is to write a reflective journal on the lessons learnt from the two assignments. Utilization of the learning process- The learning process has following utilization for me: Course- The supplied information through the medium of literature review and the research proposal is of high importance for my future courses in the academics. The first assignment is a literature review on the subject topic, which has comprehensively made me understand the importance of social networks in the contemporary business. The other assignment has helped me as well in knowing the importance of social networks at the business places. Nevertheless, the supplies materials in both the assignments are of high importance for me in my future course ahead. Program- The supplied information is also useful for my entire long program in the academics. The assignments have revealed some advantageous faces of social sites at the business places. It has some disadvantages as well. The supplied information has helped me become practical by making me understand the real business world. I get to know from both the assignments that different books, journals, website articles and newspaper articles are the best source to conduct a secondary research. It also made me learn the way one should conduct a primary research on the given topic (Hair 2015). Lessons from both the assignments- Both the assignments have taught me some of the usage of the social sites such as advertising some newly added product or service at the YouTube platform. This is indeed a very good resource to get some high attention of target customers. I also came to know that social media sites have certain disadvantages as well. Consumers might try to malign the reputation of the target company by commenting badly for no such reason. It also made me learn that the content uploaded on the different social media platform is easily imitable by others. This can be a good weapon for the competitors to take a wrong advantage of the uploaded content (Whiting and Williams 2013). Evaluation of the assignments- The provided assignments are on the usage of social sites at the business places. The provided assignments have made me realized that social sites have high importance for the business places. Despite of all the advantages that I came to know from the provided assignments, it has certain disadvantages as well. The social media sites can be a misleading guide for customers as some competitors or the customers might try to malign the image of th e target company (Fuchs 2017). Both the assignments are very informative in their own ways. The first assignment is a literature review on the subject topic. Another assignment is a research proposal on the same topic. The first assignment has taken the helps of secondary resources whereas the other assignment has taken the help of secondary resources as well as structured interviews and online survey (Wilson 2014). Probable reason for the research- The reason behind the research is my desire to get some real world knowledge on the use of social networking sites (Sreejesh, Mohapatra and Anusree 2014). This would help me understand the benefits of social sites at the business places. I am very much addicted to social sites but I never know the importance of social sites at business places as such. Knowledge gained and its applicability- The gained knowledge on the subject topic would help me to implement those on my academics, which would improve my future courses. This would also provide some real world benefits to me as I am intended to become a graduate professional after the completion of my academics. I am a student of Business Administration; therefore, it is necessary for me that I have adequate knowledge of everything that matters to the real world business. Conclusion The provided assignments are informative. They have supplied information on the advantages and disadvantages of using social networking sites at the business places. The social networking sites are good for making advertisements related to the launch of a new product. This is indeed not good for those who want to malign the image of others.
